Upside Down Text Generator
Flip your words 180° into upside-down text you can copy and paste into Instagram, TikTok, and bios. Type below — it flips as you go.
How upside-down text works
There’s no image and no font trick involved. Unicode — the standard behind the characters on your keyboard — includes symbols that happen to look like flipped versions of ordinary letters. An “e” becomes “ǝ”, an “a” becomes “ɐ”, and so on. This tool swaps each letter for its upside-down twin and reverses the order, so the finished line looks rotated a full 180°. Because the result is plain text, it travels anywhere you can paste.

Frequently asked questions
How do I flip text upside down?
Type or paste your text into the box above. Each character is swapped for an upside-down Unicode look-alike and the order is reversed, so the whole line reads as if rotated 180°. Press Copy to grab the result.
Is upside-down text real text I can copy and paste?
Yes. It's made from standard Unicode characters, not an image, so you can copy it and paste it into Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord, Facebook, or almost anywhere that accepts normal text.
Will it work in my Instagram bio and username?
Upside-down text works in Instagram captions, comments, and bios. Some apps restrict the characters allowed in usernames, so a few symbols may not stick there, but captions and bios accept it reliably.
Why don't some characters flip?
A small number of characters have no good upside-down equivalent, so they're left as they are. The full Latin alphabet, digits 0–9, and common punctuation all have upside-down forms.
Is it free and private?
